A JC Reunion!

Went back to JC twice this week, for two different occasions. First time was on Wednesday, for CCA exhibition. Couldn't reject my juniors' insistent invitation to go back to visit the booths, so left work very punctually that day to run back to JC to visit them. Ne2twork booth was a bit disadvantaged this year, given that they were placed right next to the council and wushu booths, unlike last year when we had our booth right beside the staircase near the canteen, so strategic that all J1s who came down from the hall would have passed by the booth. But anyway all juniors were trying their best to attract members, so kudos for that! =)

As for guitar, it took me >15 mins to find the booth! It was located in one of the classrooms on the second level, and if one of my juniors didn't tell me where it was, I wouldn't have found it at all. Hehe, but anyway, many people still visited the classroom! Can tell that many people are interested in guitar, and given this big pool of potential members, I'm sure it won't be a big problem getting members. Ha, then the problem lies in retaining them for the rest of their JC life, and I'm sure the juniors can do much better than our batch! =P

Seeing my juniors trying so hard to attract members reminded me of last year, when I was involved in doing the same thing for both my CCAs. The booths, the leaflets, the planning and strategies. And of course the all-important sign-up list. As we saw the names on the list growing from one page to the next, we were so happy, especially for Ne2twork, as it marked the rejuvenation of the club that nearly went extinct. And then the J1s, some looked pretty lost, some were tirelessly signing up for so many CCAs. Haha, exactly my style, I signed up for >10 in the beginning =D

Then today went back for campfire, together with Alvin, Jane, Jaime and Wai Lumn. Some seniors from 05s7d also went back, so nice to see them! Pity that most guys from our class had to check in on exactly the same day, otherwise I'm sure many of them would have joined us. Most of the juniors from 07s7d were also present! Woohoo, 7d 三代同堂!! Sad thing is we do not have any grand-junior class under the name of 7d, instead we got 08s6t. Didn't get to see many of them, but our juniors (07s7d) were certainly much much more enthu and 'on' than them last year, when we got super high and had so much fun together! =D Enjoyed the mass dances and the songs! Ahh... feels so nostalgic. Didn't enjoy the fac performances as much as last year's though (Athena didn't continue with their legacy of sang nila utama -.-'), especially our fac de, thought it was the worst. Predict that we'll get owned during dramafest too, based on their performance tonight. T_T

Lol, why am I concerned about that?! Haha, J3 liao, graduated last year liao, and I'm still worrying about fac points and who wins the competitions. ~.~ But yeah, feels a bit sad as these things that have once been an exciting and important part of my life have now been relegated to mere memories, and every year, as the cycle of new batches of students moving in and out of the school repeats itself, those memories would just fade further and further away from us. Maybe next year we can go back during campfire again, to visit our grand-grand juniors? And then get this jc-life-hangover thingy again =D

To all 08s6t juniors who might accidentally bump into this site and read this post: better be enthu and enjoy your time in JC! These two years are just going to wheeze past so quickly, especially in jc2 when you won't have that much time. So better have fun now, and have fun together! There's only one chance for you in this entire lifetime, so never never screw it up k? >< As for 07s7d juniors: we're done with A levels and it's your turn now! muahaha! you're certainly a great class and since it's your last year in jc, you should cherish the time together and enjoy yourselves too! have fun, jia you and mug hard orh!
