Tired

Felt really tired today. Wonder if I'm falling sick.

Went back to help at SMOPS yesterday at college hall. Rather fun being an invigilator looking after primary school kids. They asked all sorts of weird questions, like "what if the answer is longer than the box provided" or "i'm cold, do you have a jacket".

But the really hiong part was the arranging of the desks and chairs before and after the event. 360 desks plus 360 chairs. On Friday evening, the 10 of us took more than 2 hours arranging all those desks and chairs into formation. Then yesterday, we got more helpers, but still took us more than an hour to move them all back into the store room. That's why I say planning is important. An oversight on the OT's part can easily lead to other people suffering unnecessary. And furthermore, such work is usually regarded as highly 'undesirable' by most people. Especially those higher up the ranks, they will usually siam very far away from all these and then leave them to people who are in no position to disobey. Nonetheless, those of us who stayed in the hall to help really enjoyed the teamwork and encouragement we gave one another. Though all of us were really shag and exhausted after that, we really felt satisfied and accomplished. Not for the CIP, not for the praise from teachers, but just because they have the heart to help and the enthusiasm to work. These are often the silent heroes that go unmentioned in the success of the event. And to me, these are the people I respect and admire more than those who are up there but not helping.
