A meaningful weekend

Yay, had a good weekend! =) Spent entire Saturday slacking - morning went for EDB talk (was super surprised at the highly informal setting =O), then afternoon slacked at friend's room, then played the guitar for a while, then tried to solve the Rubik's cube, then played com games for the rest of the night. Muahaha, life is so meaningful when you suddenly forget about work and tutorials and the looming exams for one day. =)

The EDB talk was really special. Never been to a 'talk' held in this manner. Nearly everyone was expecting a lecture style talk, you know those with students sitting in the audience gallery and the speakers would be on stage talking. Apparently not for this time. The speakers and the students sat at the same table!! =O Nearly freaked out when I first saw those round tables, with those 'EDB host' tags on each table. Thankfully, it was really informal, and it wasn't those gruesome kind when they observe you for some group activity or semi-formal interview style. It was more of a sharing session with the EDB officers and scholars, which was a pretty enjoyable experience.

Side note: saw Singapore's tallest wedding cake when I passed by Bugis after the talk. It was really tall! The guard said it took them 5 000 eggs to make the cake. Poor unborn chickens.

Rubik's cube is evil. Don't try it unless you are really bored and have nothing else better to do, which was my situation in the afternoon. But in the end I still got really fed up and decided to go online to search for solutions. Even with that, it took me more than 1hr to solve it. Cos every time you make a wrong turn, you have to redo everything again. =X

Tomorrow having half-day off! Yay, happy mood... =)
